An interesting non-endorsement to say the least from Michele Smith (Liberal Extraordinaire):
- Cook County State’s Attorney
No endorsement.
While I work with and the respect the prosecutors in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, I cannot endorse the direction of the office under the incumbent. The Office’s failure to address all but the most violent gun cases by juveniles has, in my judgment, led to increased juvenile crime and danger to those young people. I also disagree with the policy decision to not prosecute misdemeanors related to theft.
Something is a foot…and not a lightfoot either.
