Police in New York City have released video of a suspect sucker-punching a man of the cloth in a subway.
Frederick Kurr, age 74, was reportedly having issues swiping his MetroCard when the suspect attacked him.
“Don’t shout,” the attacker ordered Kurr when he started crying for help. “I just felt like punching someone.”
According to the New York Post, Kurr declined medical attention at the scene, but eventually went to the hospital.
“To get sucker punched for no reason at all … that’s sad,” said Kurr’s daughter, Heidi Kurr. “I am scared for him. I worry about him because he is 74.”
Police have released the surveillance footage in hopes that the attacker can be identified.
Kurr currently serves at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in the Belmont area.
