Ex-con subway shover arrested for Barclays Center attack

A Brooklyn subway attacker wanted for shoving a straphanger to the tracks was nabbed early Tuesday in front of his mother’s home, police said.

Ex-con Michael Medlock, 37, was charged with attempted assault, reckless endangerment and menacing for allegedly pushing Ryan Schoenherr, 29, to the tracks at the Atlantic Ave-Barclays Center station about 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

Schoenherr, who was with his girlfriend, was helped back to the platform and suffered only minor injuries. He later went to Nathan’s in Coney Island to enjoy some hot dogs, posting a picture of himself on Instagram “because quite literally #YOLO.” YOLO is an acronym for “you only live once.”

Medlock, police said, woke up during a ride on the No. 4 train then followed the victim and his girlfriend off the train and confronted Schoenherr.

A tipster identified him after video and a photo of the suspect were released to the media.

Medlock has five prior arrests, police said, and records show he served time for robbery a decade ago.
